La Prensa de San Antonio.- George Gervin and BBVA Compass, in partnership with the City of San Antonio, announced a 1.1 million dollar grant in scholarship money that will be awarded to San Antonio high school students attending the inaugural College Extravaganza at St. Mary’s University Greehay Arena on September 25.

“I am extremely pleased and gratified that the city of San Antonio, including its colleges, universities and school districts, have come together to support this incredibly important and groundbreaking initiative,” said George “Iceman” Gervin, former San Antonio Spur, NBA Hall of Famer and philanthropist. “The College Extravaganza promises to be a great success and will provide valuable information and monetary assistance to promising students throughout San Antonio.”...
